During their journey on a Red Funnel ferry, children will capture images of their journey, using sketch books and cameras. They will then represent their chosen image (using a preferred media), before reproducing it again, as a 3D paper sculpture.

This is an art resource that engages children with their journey on a Red Funnel Ferry. The resource incorporates a photography task and enables children to develop their creativity and ideas. Furthermore, it allows them to use a range of techniques and media, and increase their proficiency in the handling of different materials.

Capture images on the journey - seascapes and landscapes. Sketching. Representing images using a variety of media (such as paint, pencil, charcoal etc.). Finding out about great artists and producing work in the same style. Produce their own creative interpretation and 3D sculpture.

Learning Outcomes

Students will demonstrate their artistic skill, using of a variety of media (including 3D sculptures). They will develop an understanding of artists and the cultural development of their art forms.
