Try A Whirlwind Theatre Workshop or Experience The ShowEducation Destination
Spotlight Theatre Company takes over Shanklin Theatre to offer a variety of educational workshops and a summer season of professional evening shows tailored to the 7-14 age group.
Join a Whirlwind Workshop session to look at lighting & audio technology, costume and make-up, and visit backstage before trying your skills as a narrator, singer or dancer. Record your own DVD to take away!
Or pop along in the evening and enjoy the Summer Pantomime or Best of the West End depending on age group and preferences.
Performance Skills
These interactive sessions focus on literature and creative writing through drama. 9-11 year olds build confidence and communication skills as they explore character development and narrative, guided by professional theatre practitioners.
Summer Panto Fun
In the evenings, school groups become part of the vibrant audience for a professional summer pantomime. It is a high-energy, hilarious experience that perfectly balances the educational daytime sessions with pure seaside entertainment.
