Celebrating Excellence: Introducing the Education Destination Partner Awards!
As we reach the end of another busy and rewarding peak season, the team here at Education Destination has been taking a moment to reflect. We’ve had the absolute pleasure of hosting fantastic school groups across our beautiful South Coast destinations—from the Isle of Wight and the Dorset Jurassic Coast to Hampshire and the New Forest.
But the truth is, we couldn't deliver these unforgettable experiences without the incredible local partners we work with every single day. From the transport providers who get our groups safely from A to B, to the accommodation hosts who provide a home away from home, and the activity instructors who bring learning to life—it really is a massive team effort.
That’s why, this year, we’re thrilled to announce the launch of our inaugural Annual Partner Awards!
How We Choose Our Winners
At the end of every July, our operations team sits down to review the year. We read through all the post-trip evaluations, listen to group leader feedback, and discuss how we managed any of the usual on-the-ground challenges. Out of this thorough process, we identify between 8 and 12 standout partners who have consistently gone above and beyond.
We’re celebrating the suppliers who have hit the mark across six key areas:
- Smiles All Round (Consistent Excellence): Maintaining excellent satisfaction ratings from group leaders and proving they can consistently meet high expectations.
- Always Improving (Proactive Responsiveness): We love partners who listen. This is for those who actively engage with feedback, tackle challenges head-on, and quickly adapt to make things even better for the next group.
- Safety First (Exemplary Safeguarding): The well-being of our visitors is our absolute priority. This recognises an exceptional track record in health, safety, hygiene, and facility management
- Everyone Welcome (Diverse and Inclusive Needs): A huge shout-out to those who meticulously manage complex dietary needs, accessibility requirements, and specialised behavioural support so every single visitor feels safe and valued.
- Clockwork Precision (Operational Co-ordination): For the logistical superstars who communicate clearly and ensure transport, check-ins, and activities run smoothly and strictly to time.
- Bringing Learning to Life (Enrichment): Going beyond just hosting a trip. This celebrates the enthusiastic staff who create inspiring, memorable educational environments outside the traditional classroom.
