- Liaising with accommodation partners to safely minimise the number of rooms needed to house the cohort, saving heat and light
- Reducing the laundry burden by asking students to bring their own towels, and in some cases, bedding
- Working with food suppliers to reduce catering costs, for example by switching some cooked items for ambient or chilled options or moving to a buffet-style service
- Utilising a wider range of transport providers to reduce dead mileage and optimising ferry crossings to take advantage of cheaper times
- Seeking out low cost or free activities to get the most out of your budgets whilst working with chargeable activity providers to improve value for money
