Implementation

This is a simple, peripheral resource that can be completed before, during or after the students? visit to Blackgang Chine on the Isle of Wight. There are 2 versions: on page 1, a smaller card sort which could be completed by individual or paired students in the classroom pre- or post-visit; then on pages 2-6 there are larger versions of the cards that could be used with students in a circle, either in the classroom or perhaps at the Blackgang Chine park at the site of the whale. The tasks can be integrated into lessons at any stage throughout the academic year where appropriate to teachers? schemes of work in this subject. It could perhaps link with an assembly. It is anticipated that students will have an enriched experience as they will be reflecting on their school visit activities in a relevant way, that links to their wider studies.
