This is a on-site resource, designed around the students? ferry journey to the island. Students will identify materials they see, and then complete either a crossword or wordsearch featuring terms relating to types of material found on and around the ferry. Answers are on page 3 of this document. It would be useful if students had previous discussions about different materials. It would also be useful if students know some of the key words to describe some of the properties of everyday materials.
