Contextual Summary

Implementation

Prior to their visit, students could be asked to take photographs which really capture their fun experience at Robin Hill. Upon return to school, students will be given the task of imagining that they have been tasked to promote the park by the manager of Robin Hill. They will have to deliver a speech to the year below which will persuade them to want to go to Robin Hill themselves. Persuasive speeches will have to be investigated and students should be encouraged to use visual images to support their work; this could include using elements of the web site, in addition to the photographs (or video clips) which they took on-site. Genre-specific language will be utilised, alongside the need to deliver a presentation with confidence and enthusiasm. Students in the year below will choose their favourite speech, perhaps using a check-list to evaluate the presentations. Students will benefit from an enriched experience as they will be using their visit in a creative way.
