Implementation

Students will investigate the conventions of speeches, spend time researching the educational and environmental benefits of Robin Hill Country Park and write a formal speech, using emotive language and statistics. They will present their speech in small groups to a panel of council members (played by teachers). They will be able to watch the speeches of the other groups and decide which had the most impact and why. They could produce materials in support of their argument which they may have sourced from the internet.
