The Isle of Wight's bounciest and wettest attraction with over 20 massive obstacles to tackle, plenty of free-fall slides and fun but challenging elements to explore.
Great fun for water confident students aged 8+. Wetsuits and buoyancy aids are provided and there'll be a safety briefing beforehand.
Exclusive use sessions are normally arranged for school groups - these have a limit of 80 persons including supervising adults on a 1:10 ratio. We can arrange back-to-back sessions for larger groups and alternative activities on site for those who are waiting. For small groups under 40 we can look to either 'buddy up' with other schools of a similar age profile, or even attend public sessions.
Isle of Wight Aqua Park is great for all ages, but perhaps a little overwhelming for the very youngest visitors
Here's some of the most frequently-asked questions about school visits to Isle of Wight Aqua Park, posed by teachers and other group leaders
No picnic space
Wetsuits, buoyancy aids and rash vests are provided, so you just need shorts / T-shirts or swimwear underneath, and a towel. It's also probably a good idea to have a change of clothes for afterwards just in case. Changing rooms are available, as are toilets and showers.
IW Aqua Park isn't really suitable for non-swimmers. Buoyancy aids are provided however so anyone with a degree of water confidence should be OK. With notice, additional support can be laid on if you have a high proportion of less confident participants. Strictly speaking the water park requests that participants are able to swim 25m unaided whilst wearing a buoyancy aid.
Facility is outdoors. Equipment and changing areas are sanitised regularly.
Yes - ideal for supervision or for those not wishing to participate. The park is adjacent to Tapnell Farm so during the daytime it is perfectly possible to split the group if you do find that you have a number of students not wanting to play in the water.
Swimming costumes or thin shorts/T-shirts should be worn under normal clothing to speed up changing times at the Aqua Park. Bear in mind these may get wet. Students will also need to take a towel and sufficient dry clothing to change into after the session.
Whilst sessions are staggered to allow exclusive use of changing rooms this isn't guaranteed.
There is a minimum supervision ratio of 1:10 for ages 8+, reducing to 1:3 for age 7-8. This supervision must be given in the water. For this reason, teachers are admitted free of charge.
Yes - the water park is suitable only for ages 7 and upwards and the participants must be at least 110cm (3ft7) tall. The maximum height is 210cm (6ft10).
On arrival, please send an adult to check in and take instructions from site staff with respect to the session.
If you are a group over 30 you will definitely have at least one private session (up to max capacity) and all necessary safety equipment will be provided. There will also be time allowed for changing at each end of the session.
