Students read information about how donkeys are represented in religion and culture. They then re-present the information in table form to show understanding and to view comparisons.
This is an R.E. resource for key stage 2 that engages students with donkeys at the Sanctuary and how their nature is reflected and represented in various religions and cultures through time. The tasks enable them to demonstrate their understanding of the various interpretations presented to them. Students are asked to put the informtion they read into a different format to show understanding. The task is designed to appeal to students in key stage 2, and can be completed before or after the visit to the Isle of Wight Donkey Sanctuary.
Students will have demonstrated that they can identify the key information. Students will have shown their understanding by writing brief notes on what they have read.
