Facility is outdoors. Equipment and changing areas are sanitised between uses.
The park has many picnic tables available for use. There's also a cafe and a snack bar selling ice-cream within the park if you'd like to plan a treat or a hot lunch for example. We can help with that.
On arrival, please send an adult to check in and take instructions from site staff with respect to the session.
If you are a group over 30 you will definitely have at least one private session (up to max capacity) and all necessary safety equipment will be provided. There will also be time allowed for changing at each end of the session.
We will pre-book your visit for you and your entry charges will be paid directly by Education Destination. All you need to do is show up at the agreed time, line the kids up outside, identify yourselves to staff and you'll be enjoying the facilities in no time!
No picnic space
Swimming costumes or thin shorts/T-shirts should be worn under normal clothing to speed up changing times at the Aqua Park. Bear in mind these may get wet. Students will also need to take a towel and sufficient dry clothing to change into after the session.
There's a large toilet block in the main building which is no more than a few minutes' walk from anywhere in the park
Most of the park is on one level with wide hard footpaths. There's always plenty of staff on hand to help if needed.
Whilst most of the fun attractions are outside, there's plenty to see and do indoors as well, so Tapnell is a perfect rainy day option.
Most groups allocate a half day for trips to Tapnell and combine it with other attractions in the area, such as Dinosaur Expeditions or The Needles Pleasure Cruise. However, Tapnell is continually expanding and we are now seeing groups opt to spend a whole day here.
