Students investigate the many costs involved in providing for the donkeys at the Sanctuary, and answer relevant questions. They also present the information in a graph or chart.
This is a maths resource that engages students with their visit to the Isle of Wight Donkey Sanctuary. The resource task enables them to practise their data handling skills.
Students are asked to investigate the costs of keeping a donkey, using their knowledge of costings gained at the Donkey Sanctuary as their base material. The task is designed to appeal to students in lower key stage 2.
This resource links to the Donkey Sanctuary’s English persuasive leaflet task allowing for effective cross-curricular opportunities.
