This resource is for students at key stage 3 and relates to the ‘Interactions and Interdependencies’ part of the Science National Curriculum, specifically ‘Relationships in an Ecosystem’. The ‘on-site’ tasks focus on the identification of fossil teeth and the construction of food webs based on the display materials found at Dinosaur Expeditions activity barn.
This is an on-site resource that is designed to be completed during the visit to the activity barn. There is particular reference to the fossil teeth that students will discover, and also the materials and models in the display area.
Students will be aware of the relationship between structure and function of teeth. They will interpret and construct food webs.
